FHL Earth Science Kit Training K-6 Part 4:4
This is the training for the earth science activities recommended at each grade level that is part of the Buffalo Public schools core curriculum. Upon completion of the training you will receive a kit of supplies and supplemental materials (journals, books, ect...) to make it all happen in your classroom....

Chemistry & Physics Explicit Instruction 4:4
PGS Course #519. Participants will gain knowledge in the 5 essential attributes of Explicit Instruction. Through modeled lessons they will be trained to incorporate this strategy into the science classroom. There will be special emphasis placed on writing measurable objectives.

Law Day Poster Contest
Do you have an artistic flare? If so, we invite you and your peers/students to participate in the Bar Association of Erie County's poster contest. This year's Law Day theme is "Law in the 21st Century: Enduring Traditions, Emerging Challenges" and students are asked to interpret this theme using their craft/ Savings bonds are awarded for first, second and third place for grades 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12. Science Elementary Sharing K-6 Part 4
Come to BPDTC room 453 and network with the teachers in your grade level. Bring your best lessons, activities, demonstrations, techniques, technological implications and pedagogy to share and exchange with your colleagues. Or you can come with an open mind to learn new and exciting things to add to your classroom lessons/strategies.
Disclaimer: We will meet once every marking period to discuss and share specific topics following the BPS pacing guide. By the end of the 4 workshops you will have a binder full of new and exciting lessons to enhance your student’s academic achievement.

5/6 Content 7 Strategies Training (Part 7)
PGS Course #744: This training will introduce and further expand teacher knowledge of the intermediate Earth Science curriculum incorporated within the 6th grade science curriculum. Earth science will become the primary focus in 5th and 6th grade as drafts of new pacing guides are introduced. By the end of this training teachers will be provided with binders and enough support materials to be able to begin teaching earth science in a comprehensive and rigorous manner.
