Welcome To Bilingual Center School 33!
Bilingual Center School 33 faculty and staff takes pride in our school community and working collaboratively to provide your child high quality educational programs that prepares them for the 21st century global economy. The primary goal of Bilingual Center School 33 is to provide a safe, student-centered learning environment that fosters a positive school culture. While our need is to continue to improve student achievement for all students, our focus is to be effective in developing literacy skills throughout each grade level and content area and mathematic problem solving skills.
Our instructional program begins in Pre-kindergarten where the foundation for literacy is established. Throughout each grade reading, writing and development in critical thinking is extended to content area instruction. Our Bilingual program is preparing our children to be both bilingual and biliterate. Our Middle School instructional programs offer students the opportunity to take the Spanish Proficiency Assessment, Algebra, and Living Environment courses, usually offered in High School.
As we continue to strive towards good standings in academic success, our instructional programs will receive continual attention and reflection as annual school improvement goals are established based on data, student needs and district initiatives. We teach our children that their priority is to come to school prepared to learn. Their regular attendance, promptness, respect for teachers and other adults, academic work and good character are crucial. Responsibility, Respectfulness, Honesty, Caring and high scholastic standards will be promoted. Parent support and involvement are important to student success.
Please join us in supporting your child’s academic success by taking the Power Pledge of volunteering at least 2 hours in your child’s room or in our school. To further strengthen and honor your commitment to your child’s academic success, become a member of our PTO and work with parents in planning parent school events. Together we can maximize opportunities for success through our collaborative efforts in making School 33 a great place to learn, grow and be successful.
Your child is important to the work we do at School 33. Together we can accomplish our goals in improving academic achievement for all students.
Educationally Yours,
Maria C. DeJoy
