Mission Statement:
The mission of the Library Media Program to the Buffalo Public Schools is to ensure that students and staff will become life-long users of information and ideas. Certified, professional school library media specialists will develop and implement this library Media Program in collaboration with principals, teachers and other others in the school community.
The program outcome we seek will empower students to become citizens of a 21st century democratic society able to:
- access, use, and evaluate information
- read for information and pleasure
- utilize technology
- communicate ideas
