MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Drew Science Magnet at 90 is to provide a developmentally appropriate educational experience which enables each student to achieve the literacy and numeracy expectations of the New York State Standards by giving them a firm foundation upon which to build the rest of their educational career. Opportunities provided by our program will benefit our children to become critical thinkers, able problem-solvers, and concerned citizens.
School Beliefs
- A child’s classroom extends to the resources of the home, school, and community.
- The use of formal and informal assessment with reflective teaching will result in the differentiation of instruction.
- A staff that understands how children learn and develop can provide opportunities that support student achievement.
- Our school community believes in the use of a variety of instructional strategies targeted toward the needs of diverse learners.
