MISSION STATEMENT

    The mission of the Drew Science Magnet at 90 is to provide a developmentally appropriate educational experience which enables each student to achieve the literacy and numeracy expectations of the New York State Standards by giving them a firm foundation upon which to build the rest of their educational career. Opportunities provided by our program will benefit our children to become critical thinkers, able problem-solvers, and concerned citizens.

School Beliefs

  1. A child’s classroom extends to the resources of the home, school, and community.
  2. The use of formal and informal assessment with reflective teaching will result in the differentiation of instruction.
  3. A staff that understands how children learn and develop can provide opportunities that support student achievement.
  4. Our school community believes in the use of a variety of instructional strategies targeted toward the needs of diverse learners.


School News
Extended Learning Opportunity Program
You'll be notified by June 1, 2008 if your child will be required to attend ELOP. Attendance is mandatory for all students who have failed to meet grade level benchmarks. The program will be a half-day program running from 8:30a.m.-12:00 p.m.
