2007-2008 FAST Information
Absences and Appointments: A written excuse is required by state law for any absence or appointment. These should be turned in to teachers by students following the day of excuse.
Backpacks: Backpacks may be used by students to carry books and school supplies to school. They may not be carried from class to class.
Breakfast: Served from 8:40-9:05. In order to be admitted to breakfast, students must first obtain a pass from their HR teacher.
Conferences with Teachers: Parents may meet with teachers during a mutually set appointment. Parents must first sign in at the office and wait for a teacher to be notified.
Discipline: District policies are outlined in the Code of Conduct. These policies will be enforced fairly and consistently.
Dress Code: School 66 has a mandatory student uniform policy approved by the Board of Education. It is available in the main office.
Hours of School Operation: 9:00-3:30 Please call during these times as well throughout the year for your needs.
Medications: Medicine is administered by a nurse, administrator, or designee only after proper authorization by the school nurse. Prescriptions should be scheduled for HOME dispensation whenever possible.
New Student Registration/General Questions: Call Central Registration 851-3717.
Personal Property: Students are responsible for their personal belongings. Electronic equipment, unnecessary money, and valuables should not be brought to school. Personal stereo and electronic games are prohibited for use inside the building.
Phone Calls to Students or Messages: These are strictly prohibited for security reasons. Should you need to communicate with your child, you must sign in as a visitor in the office and your child will be called down.
Phone Use: Students may not use telephones for any purpose unless authorized by an administrator or the nurse in the clinic.
Testing: Students and teachers are expected to adhere to the District Protocol for all testing events. The Protocol is reviewed by students and teachers at the start of each year. General directions about honesty and character during testing are reviewed.
