At Frederick Law Olmsted School #64 and #56, we are involved in a character education program with a drive to make students aware of the character traits that will make them successful in school and in their adult life.

We chose concepts that will make our learning environment peaceful and free of bullying, disrespect, and violent words and actions. This will create a school environment which allows students to focus totally on their primary job - TO LEARN.

With family support in reinforcing these character values at home, your child will learn self-control and lifelong values. Please find the time to discuss them with your child, and determine ways they may show positive behavior at home as well as in school.

We are asking parents to contribute ideas to share with other parents. Watch for the Wednesday handouts to contribute your advice or successful techniques as well as see what other parents are doing.
