Dear School #3 Parents:
It is my great honor and privilege to be chosen to take over as the new principal, due to the retirement of Evelyn Pizarro. She has left a great impression on our school and she will be surely missed. She will, I know, return to help with our annual Variety Show and Graduation Ceremonies.
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I worked as a classroom teacher in Buffalo for ten years and most recently as Assistant Principal here at School #3 for the past eight years.
As principal I strongly believe that effective schools are centered around four key elements: student achievement, school safety, a positive school climate and strong relationships between teachers, students, parents and the community.
As your principal, you can expect that I will reach out to you and ask for your support, ideas, suggestions and involvement. I will encourage you to join our team, our school family, so to speak, where preparing children for the future is our number one priority. I pledge to do my best to ensure that each child is challenged, nurtured and provided with a safe and stimulating learning experience.
As we work together during the year, I invite you to stay in contact and let me know how you and your children are experiencing school. I believe that through team work, open communication, and our dedication to continuous improvement, we will continue to keep this school a wonderful place where children delight in learning.
Sincerely,

Mrs. Silvia Baines, Principal
