Library
Mrs. Fritzinger
Our library is open on B – C – D days for student and faculty/staff use.
The library schedule is always posted outside the door. It lists what days the library is open that week, what classes are scheduled and when the OPEN times are. Every homeroom also gets a weekly library schedule to post in the classroom. All homerooms visit the library once a month for book exchange and/or lessons and stories. Any student may visit the library independently during the OPEN times. OPEN times are for book exchange and individual research.
***The new Buffalo Public School Union Catalog system will soon be up and running. This new system will allow teachers and students to search for materials from every school library in the Buffalo Public School system. Students will be able to search for books in school or from a home computer. We will also have direct access to netTrekker (a search & research system for students) from the library main menu. ***
As soon as our new union circulation system is up and running, all students will have an orientation period and the opportunity to sign out library books.
Parents, please take an interest in what your child is reading. Ask them questions about what they have read. Encourage them to spend quiet time reading every day. Children are never too old to sit down and share a book with. You can read to them and they can read to you. We hope that every child will make the best possible use of the library time they have available to them.
