South Park High School is located at the South end of the City of Buffalo, NY.  Built in 1915, for generations the school has served families from South Buffalo, Kaisertown, the Old First Ward, the Valley, Lovejoy, the Seneca-Babcock district, and the near East Side.

South Park is a comprehensive academic high school that includes approximately 1100 students, grades 9-12.  The student population represents a diversity of socio-economic backgrounds and academic abilities.  South Park boasts an experienced and talented Special Education department, as well as a challenging honors track and Advanced Placement Program for students with exceptional academic abilities.  Other special curricular programs include a printing/graphic communications magnet program, a horticulture program that services special needs students, a business education program, an instrumental band program, a choral program, and a visual arts department.

South Park High School is a fully "wired" building with internet access in all classrooms. 

The faculty of South Park High School includes a mix of veteran teachers who have dedicated their career to the school and a growing contingent of young teachers who have brought a spirit of innovation and experimentation to the school.  The Student Support/Counseling (SSC) Office has three counselors as well as a representative from the Buffalo State Talent Search Program.  Students can find additional academic and mentoring support through the Daemen College Liberty Partnership, the Gear-Up Program, BAPPS Program, and the General Mills Challenge U. Scholarship Program all of which have staff members and offices located within the school building.  The administration includes a school principal and three assistant principals.
