School Turnaround is a dramatic and comprehensive intervention in a low-performing school that
  • produces significant achievement gains within two years and
  • prepares the school for long-term transformation into a high-performance organization.

Buffalo Public Schools is engaged in a process to provide support to our chronically underperforming schools to transform them so that all of our students have access to a high quality education that promotes academic excellence and prepares our students for success in college and the workforce.

To spearhead the district’s support for these schools, the Office of School Innovation and Turnaround was recently created.
