Where your world opens up!
 Waterfront Takes Healthy Steps
Hi everyone,
Have you noticed any posters about walking in the cafeteria and hallways?
For the first time, Waterfront is participating in an exciting statewide walking program called “Healthy Steps”.
| "ALL STAFF and parents are encouraged to record their steps, as well!" | The purpose of the walking event is to encourage students in grades K-5 to increase their level of physical activity through walking. ALL STAFF and parents are encouraged to record their steps, as well! The event will take place for ten school days from May 16th through May 30th.
Besides promoting the well-being of our students and ourselves, prizes will be awarded to the top schools in each of 4 divisions, based on enrollment.
This is a school-wide event and it will be most successful with your support and enthusiasm.
Look for a staff recording sheet coming to your mailbox soon!
Happy walking,
Beatrijs Albarran Program Coordinator
