About Office of Shared Accountability (OSA)
The Office of Shared Accountability provides information and analyses that support continuous improvement in the academic and operational services in Buffalo Public Schools (BPS) in support of the BPS Academic Achievement Plan.
The Office of Shared Accountability implements a comprehensive program of student assessment including all parts of the state-mandated testing program. Additionally, the Office of Shared Accountability contributes to Buffalo Public Schools accountability for student performance by analyzing and reporting results from the state assessments and other measures of student performance that are not part of the state-mandated testing program. The Office of Shared Accountability also focuses on reporting and regulatory accountability, such as federal, state and local reporting requirements.
The Office of Shared Accountability also provides technical assistance in the areas of record management and data cleanliness. The OSA operates as a central resource for schools, offices, and the community for issues surrounding regulatory accountability. In addition, the Office of Shared Accountability serves as a resource for the district and the community for ad hoc student data requests.
