I try to encourage students, parents and colleagues to view planet Earth as the most important topic to focus discussions around.  What is the smartest way to use the resources Earth provides and how do we SUSTAIN resources for generations to come?  I hope to get students involved with local, simple activities that when combined with efforts from others contribute significantly to our local and global communities.

My primary responsibility is teaching Earth Science lecture, Earth Science Lab, two sections of Advanced Placement Environmental Science and one 10th grade Advisory.

I am the baseball coach. The 2009 South Park Sparks baseball team showed considerable improvement from the previous season and this years team has strong senior leadership already recruiting younger players for the 2010 spring season.  I am looking forward to a great season.

The South Park Green Team continues to gain momentum, increasing student involvement and building more community partnerships. The Green Team is a student group focused on sustainable actions individuals can take to make a difference in their world.  We have become stewards of a nearby park and networked with a few outside organizations to help monitor The Buffalo River and The Bailey Peninsula.  We are responsible for our in school recycling and hope to add to our newly remodelled building, some green innitiatives.  Check out my slideshows, Mr. Steve Sorra's and The Green Team Page to see the action.
