Educator Study Tours

Educators can travel the world FREE!

In the past few years, I have had the good fortune of being selected to participate in several educator study tour fellowships abroad, including: The China Teacher Leadership Project, The Toyota International Teacher Program to Costa Rica and the Fulbright-Hayes Seminars Abroad Program to India and Sri Lanka.  These trips, as well as others like them, are designed specifically for teachers for the purpose of providing cultural immersion experiences that will subsequently impact their classrooms.

Each of these travel opportunities requires the submission of an application and several essays.  Many of the study tours are very competitive, but well worth the time and effort to apply.  In this section of the website, I have included information about different study tours that are available for teachers of various disciplines.  Additionally, you can find information about the specific study tours that I have traveled with.

These study tours are unique in that you are not going abroad to teach English.  Again, the purpose of these trips are to engage in multicultral learning experiences.  While abroad, time is spent traveling all around the country(s), visiting all of the important historical sites, landmarks, natural wonders, museums, plays and art galleries.  Other important aspects of the tours include: meeting with your international educator counterparts, attending lectures by prominent scholars and most importantly-discovering the cuisine native to various regions of the country(s).
