  6. Executive Board Representatives

  • Nominees will have a minute or so to introduce themselves

  • Voting will take place immediately after introductions so…

  • Our newly elected BAVPA PTSO can keep that parental involvement momentum going

PARENT TEACHER STUDENT ORGANIZATION

Overview Committee Officers

President:

    • Conducts all meetings

    • Introduces and welcomes all Parents at meetings

    • Serves as ex-officio member of all committees except nominating committee

    • Prepares an Agenda

    • Has working knowledge of parliamentary procedures and understands the bylaws of the organization

    • Serves as Liaison between parents, administrators faculty and staff

    • Submit’s a written report of the years activities

    • Passes on all Presidents records in good order within one month of Elections

Vice President

    • Performs the duties and responsibilities of the President in his/her absence

    • Must automatically move up if the President position becomes vacant

    • Assist President carrying out committee business

    • Passes on all vice -Presidents records in good order within one month of election

Recording Secretary

    • Records and submits minutes of all meetings

    • Maintains a list of active members

    • Maintains a record of committee members and their assignments

    • Passes on all secretary records in good order within one month after election

Corresponding Secretary

    • Assist the recording secretary

    • Maintains a list of active members addresses

    • Writes and arranges for all mailings such as meeting notices, newsletters ext.

    • Includes the Agenda with meeting notices send out

    • Passes on all Corresponding secretary records in good order within one month of election

Treasurer

    • Collects donations from memberships and keeps an accurate records

    • Prepares an annual Budget

    • Pays all bills approved by the board

    • Keep financial records up to date and submit’s a report at each meeting

    • Follows proper procedures for withdrawing money from PTSO accounts and submits receipts for any expense incurred related to PTSO

Committee Representative

    • Attends all board meetings

    • Keeps the President informed of interest, activities, problems

    • Recommends community resources to the school.

    • Helps frame policies

    • Interprets the Decisions and Policies of the board to the PTSO
