Word Warning! Word Warning!
Have you ever seen the alert pictured below, when you were working one of your webpages?

Word Weirdness
And ..... you only have a short list and headline on the page? Welcome to Word Weirdness! You probably copied your text from a Word Document and pasted into your webpage.

Browsers...for the lack of a better description.... HATE  the Microsoft Office Application, Word! And .... in the BPS district, 99% of our documents are created in Word.

The Solution
This does not mean you have to retype the information you want to post if it comes from a Word document. It is good advice to run the "scrubber" over the text after you paste it into your page...and this means every time you paste text from Word into a webpage.

Simply highlight the text and click the Word Cleanup button on the top row of the editor tool bar. This removes all the Word junk from the page's html. (Junk is formatting information Word inserted into your document...to set paragraphs, lists, font size etc. When you copied the text, you got all that extra info too.)

One Word of Caution
If are using a table in your page layout....and you highlight some text and hit the World Cleanup button...you will delete your table(s)...maybe not the result you were going for. To get around this add, a dummy page.Clean your text there.
