Welcome to our Reading Classroom!

This year we are working hard to make sure that our students at Southside Elementary are achieving their reading goals, according to the Common Core Learning Standards. Each year the expectation of your student's learning standards are increasing. It is our job as teachers, that we work collaboratively with parents, to be sure that the students here at Southside Elementary are achieving their own goals, and that of  New York State and the Common Core. I am working with your student, and following the Common Core Learning Standards of New York State,  to be sure that every student that I teach, is reading, and striving to do their best to be the lifelong learner that I know they can be!

Remember, reading daily helps you become a stronger reader and writer! Please encourage your student to read for at least 20 minutes a day.
