• Welcome to 3rd grade!

    I would like to introduce myself by saying I have worked the last 7 years working in special education classrooms within the Buffalo Public Schools. I am adept in managing behavioral, educational, and social needs of students. Moreover, while my on-the-job experience has afforded me a well-rounded skill set, including first-rate planning and documentation skills, I excel at: • Establishing and communicating clear objectives. • Assisting students in developing skills and meeting milestones. • Differentiating instruction. • Using assistive technology and multi-sensory learning. • Building a rapport with a wide range of diverse learners’ and their families. • Encouraging students to express themselves positively and to be understanding. I have a proven track record within the Buffalo Public Schools. In addition to my experience and personal qualities, I have a solid educational foundation and a passion for caring for students with special needs. I am extremely enthusiastic about Buffalo Public Schools’ focus on providing a standards-based rigorous learning that supports both academic success as well as college and career readiness, while providing an environment that is flexible, equitable, and challenging for our diverse population of 21st century learners. My years of experience have taught me the value of patience and encouragement in the classroom. I work closely with each student, providing the individualized support and praise they require. I am eager to contribute to Buffalo’s continued success in teaching and caring for all students while our values of learning align. The beginning of the year has been amazing as I get to know your child personally and as a learner.
