HERE ARE SOME EXAMPLES OF CONCEPTS THAT WILL BE ON THE FINAL EXAM!
One question on the exam in some form will be: what activity is not aerobic?
THE ANSWER IS: SPRINTING!!! SPRINTING IS ANAEROBIC!!!!!
ANAEROBIC EXERCISE:
Definition
Anaerobic means without oxygen. Anaerobic exercise consists of brief intense bursts of physical activity, such as weightlifting and sprints, where oxygen demand surpasses oxygen supply.
While aerobic exercise relies on oxygen, anaerobic exercise is fueled by energy stored in your muscles.
Examples
Examples of anaerobic exercise include heavy weight training, sprinting , sit-ups push-ups, and jumping. Basically any exercise that consists of short exertion, high-intensity movement, is an anaerobic exercise.
AEROBIC EXERCISE:
Definition

Also called aerobic exercises. ( used with a plural verb) any of various sustained exercises, as jogging, rowing,
swimming, or cycling,that stimulate and strengthen the heart and lungs,
by improving the body's utilization of oxygen

(used with a singular verb) a physical fitness program based on such exercises:
Aerobics is a good way to get your body in shape.
