I am Mrs. Cruz, your child's 4th grade teacher in room 220.  It is my pleasure to be working with your son or daughter this year.  We have a very busy year. Currently we have 22 students in our class.  During the day we have, Ms. Collado, who comes to the room various times during the day to help our students who are struggling in reading and math.  We also have, Mr. Insausti, who works with our second language learners.

    This year we are starting a new reading series, Senderos, as well as new Math modules.  In 4th grade students are required to take three New york State exams.  Many students will take the ELA in English reading, all students will take Math and a Science state exam at the end of the year.  It is for this reason that attendance is very important.

   The purpose of this website is to inform parents of the events that are occurring in their child's classroom.  Within this website you find information about school and classroom events, homework assignments, field trips.
