My Homework

  • Weekly Home   work Outline







    The homework assignments follow a basic outline. The same thing is done nightly with different content. Homework is assigned every night of the week. On Friday all homework not completed during the week should be completed. Your child should have a different notebook for each subject or a five subject notebook with a section for each subject. Homework will count as part of your child's report card grade.



    Weekly Homework Outline:

    Monday:         Look your spelling words up in the dictionary and write them 5x each.
        Put your reading words in A, B, C order
        Reading Worksheets
        Math Worksheet or Math Page
        Language Worksheets or assignment
        Science & Social studies

    Tuesday:    Put spelling words in A,B,C order.     Then write them 5x each.     Write a sentence for each of your reading words.
        Reading Worksheets
        Math Worksheet  or Math Page
        Language Worksheets or assignment
        Science & Social studies

    Wednesday:    Write a sentence for each of your spelling words. Use three different end marks. Then write them 5x each.
        Write a story with your reading words.

    Thursday:    Write two words to rhyme with each of your spelling words.  Then write them 5x each.
        Break your reading words up into syllables and tell how many syllables each word has.

    Friday:    Make -up homework and class work not completed during the week.

       
    During the middle of the school year,the Thursday homework will change to the following:

    Thursday:    Label your spelling words using N-noun, V-verb  or ADJ-adjective, and then write them 5x each.
        Write two words to rhyme with each of your reading       words.
