    Social Studies within the Buffalo Public Schools, provides coordinated and systematic instruction from such disciplines as anthropology, archaeology, economics, geography, history, law, philosophy, political science, psychology, religion, and sociology.

    Social Studies helps young people make informed and reasoned decisions about the world in which they live. 

    Social Studies helps to imbue students with the intellectual skills and civic values they need to lead meaningful and productive lives in an interdependent world.
