Parents are
the most critical assets in their child’s education. Children listen to and are influenced most by
what their parents say to them and how they say it – by what their parents do
with them and how they do it.
I believe
that an equal and high quality education is every child’s civil right; and, as
educators we must deliver on this essential democratic principle.
Meanwhile, it is the parent’s responsibility to
1) place a high premium on education; 2) make sure their child goes to school
and to all classes every day; 3) make sure their child does in-school work
to the best of his or her ability and puts in additional study time (up to two hours
each day) outside of school hours; 4) shows respect for his teachers and for
school staff.
