International Children’s Digital Library
Discover books from around the world at the International Children’s Digital Library. The free site does not read the books aloud, but students can read them independently during Read to Self or free time. This is a great site for extension activities when learning about different regions of the world and can be used effectively into the middle school grades. -

While there are no supplemental materials to accompany the stories, this free site is perfect for “Listen to Reading” stations. Parent Network is designated as a Technical Assistance Parent Center by New York State Department of Education and receives funding from several sources. Class Dojo
Class Dojo is a behavior management system I use in my classroom. Students can earn points by being on task, participation, persistence, and many other skills demonstrated in class.Students are aware of their performance and can set goals for themselves so they continue to be successful. Parents can access the same information at home using their parent login (sent home with their child). -

Buffalo State College Literacy Center
This a wonderful resource for parents to take advantage of if your child needs a little extra support in reading. Buffalo State College Literacy Center offers diagnostic assessment in reading as well as tutoring for students in grades k-12. There are also scholarships available to students to help make the program affordable. On the website there is a downloadable brochure/application that provides you with additional information about the program as well as the contact information to register your child.
