    Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

    We look forward to having your child in our fourth grade classes next school year.  Attached is the school supply list for fifth grade.  Please note specific colors for folders and spiral notebooks.  We are color coding supplies by subject areas to help the students stay organized.  In order for your child to be successful during the school year it is imperative that they start the year with all of the required school supplies.  All supplies must be in school by Tuesday September 8, 2015.

    Helpful Suggestions:

    -         Watch store ads for sales on schools supplies in late July and early August

    -         Buy extra pencils, notebook paper, folders and spiral notebooks to keep at home and send into school during the school year as your child runs out

    -         Write your child’s name on all supplies, including pencils, before sending them into school so that if items get lost and misplaced they can be returned

    Please make sure that your child continues to read at least 20 minutes a day over the summer vacation.  Daily reading will continue to help your child build their reading fluency, comprehension and vocabulary skills.

    We hope everyone has a safe and relaxing summer.  We look forward to meeting you in September!

    Sincerely,

    Fourth Grade Teachers
