My Homework

  • PARENTS AS PARTNERS:   Staying involved in your child’s education is the key to a successful year.

*Please have your child put his/her book bag in a special spot at home.  Now, you will have easy access to your child’s red homework folder and you will be able to check your child’s book bag each night. You will usually find it packed with schoolwork, projects, flyers, and notices from the office and notes from me.

*It is crucial that you review and SIGN YOUR CHILD'S HOMEWORK SHEET on a daily basis.   Your child’s homework sheet will reflect daily homework and daily behavior.  Your child’s homework is always a review of what we have already covered in class. You should check over your child’s homework and assist only if needed.

*Maintaining a positive attitude toward school and showing confidence in your child’s success will help your child grow academically and socially.

MULTIPLICATION:   Multiplication is at the heart of math in third grade throughout the year. Please have your child practice memorizing his/her multiples at home.

READING:  Studies have shown reading will improve if your child reads daily.  Please have your child read for 20 minutes each night.  This includes reading to your child, your child reading to you, and your child reading independently.
