Home Learning (HL):         

HomeLearning (HL) or homework for the initial weeks of school will be “any classwork assignments NOT completed during the school day”.  As the school year progresses, this directive may change, as needed, in order to provide more support for students who require extended independent lessons to be done at home—with parental supervision.

Students with incomplete classwork will be required to begin working on assignments during the dismissal period, with the assistance of the classroom teacher and/or peer partner. Daily sign-off sheets will be issued to alert parents regarding HL assignments.

Home Learning (HL) & Absences:

If your child is absent and has missed content specific instruction that requires lesson guidance, the HL assignments will not be sent home.  Students will be provided with 1-to-1 "catch-up sessions" upon their return to school or virtually, if necessary. 

BPS Parent Portal:

The Parent Portal is an online tool developed by Infinite Campus that allows access to your child's information–attendance, assignments, and grades in real time.  Please become familiar with and use this tool to monitor your child’s progress.

The parent portal letter contains step-by-step directions that will walk you through the process of setting up your personalized parent portal account. By creating your own username and password using the activation key from the letter, each parent will have secure access to their child's student information online.
