We want to make a difference in our community by volunteering to help a neighbor, family member or friend.  

Some ideas the students brainstormed included:

Being a helper

Raking leaves

Taking out the garbage

Mowing the lawn

Cleaning the House

Taking out the trash 

The students cannot earn money, but they will earn the life lessons of empathy, kindness and giving hopefully empowering each child to be a part of their community through acts of kindness and caring.

 The students will use this experience to write a narrative describing how they helped someone in their community.
