Library Policies
- Students are expected to treat the library, its patrons, and materials with respect. This includes entering and leaving quietly, showing care for books and materials, and following directions.
Circulation Policies
- Students are responsible for their books. Should a library book be damaged or lost, it is expected that the book is replaced or paid for. Prices of books are considered on a case-by-case basis (price, age, and condition of the book are considered).
- Pre-K, K, and 1st grade may check out one book at a time.
- 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades may check out two books at a time.
- No additional books may be checked out until previous books are returned.
- Students needing extra materials for projects may ask permission to take more than the allotted amount.
- Students have four weeks with their books, but are encouraged to:
- Return the book if they are done
- Renew their book if more time is needed
- Overdue notices are sent out at least once per marking period.
- All books leaving the library must be checked out by Ms. Fader.
