    YES. THE RUMORS ARE TRUE! WE HAVE A NEW ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL: We at School 65 are saddened to hear that Ms. Reevess was relocated to a new school, but are anxious and EXCITED to meet our new assistant principal! The newest member of the Roosevelt Family is Mrs. Amy Chavez. She is coming to us from BPS 67: Lovejoy Discovery, and is eager to start the year with us! Remember how nervous you were/are to start school!? Please show her a warm Roosevelt welcome when you see her in the hallway! 




    GET CONNECTED USING THE FREE APP "CLASS DOJO": ClassDojo’s mission is to reinvent classrooms by bringing teachers, students and parents closer together. Teachers use ClassDojo as a communication platform to encourage students, and get parents engaged too. Classrooms become positive places - which means there's no more ‘classroom management’. Just happier classrooms :) *Please contact me if you did not receive your "special code" allowing you to sign up for our class & monitor your child. (I can send it out to you immediately.) 



    HOMEWORK NEWS: Please be sure you are checking over homework daily. These assignments should not take more than 10 minutes. If they are, please note that for me to see. The last thing we want is for your child to become frustrated. Thank you for ALL you do!



    SPELLING ASSESSMENTS: Spelling Assessments (tests) will be every Friday! Please make sure you are reviewing these words at home everyday, as I will also do so at school. 



    THURSDAYS ARE SPORTS DAY: We will continue to designate every THURSDAY to be Sports Day here at Roosevelt. Cheer on your favorite "HOMETOWN TEAM" or any team EVERY Thursday. Go BUFFALO! (Bills, Bisons, Bandits and Sabres too...)  



    FRIDAYS ARE STILL SCHOOL SPIRIT DAYS: Show off your SCHOOL SPIRIT on Fridays! Remember to always wear our school colors of red and white on FRIDAYS!!!!
