Closing The Gap
What is Closing the Gap in Student Performance?
Closing the Gap (CTG) is a school-community collaboration in 6 Buffalo Public Schools that integrates health, human, and social services to enhance conditions for learning. Our goal is to close the achievement gap by addressing the non-academic barriers that can keep kids from learning.
Closing the Gap is partnering with Buffalo Public Schools to support their efforts in:
Improving academic achievement
Decreasing disciplinary referralsDecreasing formal and informal suspensions
Increasing parental involvement
Currently at Hamlin Park #74, health and human service providers work with a Site Facilitator to coordinate services for children and their families.
