• Classroom information:

Hours: School begins each day at 9:30 a.m. Students begin to arrive at 9 a.m. every morning and we will have breakfast in the classroom each day.

Dismissial starts at 3pm. If you are picking your child up from school at the end of the day, please inform the office and they will inform you of the procedures for pickup.

Absences: Throughout the year, there will be times that your child may get sick, need to go to the doctors, etc. If your child is absent from school please make sure to contact the office at (716)816-4070 and please send a note in with your child regarding his or her absence.

Take Home Folders: Your scholar will bring home a take home folder DAILY.  Please check their folder for important information and classwork. The pockets are labeled "keep at home" and "bring back to school" so that we can communicate clearly.

Homework: Homework is assigned for the whole week on Monday and is due back by Friday. This is meant to practice the skills we are learning in the classroom. You may assist your scholar by modeling the skill but PLEASE have them attempt the skill under your model in the notebook.

Conferences/Concerns: As your child’s parent/guardian you are a very important part of their education. If you would like to discuss a concern you may email me, call the school ( I will return your call when I am not teaching) or message me on Classroom Dojo.

Uniforms: School #82 is a uniform school. It is important that your child is in uniform everyday so they are ready to learn. Boys may wear white, black or grey polo style shirts (short or long sleeved) or turtlenecks and black pants or knee length shorts. Girls may wear white, black or grey polo style shirts (short or long sleeved) or turtlenecks and black pants, skirt, skort, knee length shorts or jumper. Please wear sneakers for gym days. Sandals MUST have a back on them.

Birthdays: If you would like to send in a treat to celebrate your child’s birthday you may do so. Please let me know ahead of time so we can plan for it in our day. Our class has several food allergies and in order to have a safe, fun celebration cupcakes are not recommended. Store bought, peanut/tree nut free treats are ok, however non-food treats such as pencils, erasers, or party favor style treats are a great alternative! We have 20 students in our class.
