  • Modified Swimming Information

The 2013-2014 swim season will begin Monday, February 10th. If you are interested in swimming, make sure that you have a physical on file with the nurse before this time. If you need an information packet, please see Miss Croisdale (room 200) or Miss Creighton (room 224)

    Capability of swimmers:

Students in grades 5 and 6 who wish to join the swim team must be able to swim at least one length of the pool without assistance.

Students in grades 7 and 8 who wish to join the swim team must be able to swim at least two lengths of the pool without assistance.

    Health forms:

If your child has had a physical within the past year, then you need to fill out an update sheet and get it on file with the nurse (the physical also has to be on file with our nurse).

If your child has not had a physical within the past year, then they will need a full physical with their doctor. The physical also needs to be on file with our school nurse before they can start practicing.

***Swimmers cannot practice without a physical and/or update sheet on file with the school nurse.

    Media release:

All swimmers must hand in a media release/emergency contact information sheet before they can start practicing.

    Parent helpers:

We will be looking for some parent volunteers to help out at swim meets with timing, score keeping, organizing the swimmers, and announcing. If interested, please let us know. Thank you in advance!

    Suits/goggles:

Girls: girl swimmers need to have a one piece bathing suit and a pair of goggles

Boys: boy swimmers need to have swim trunks or jammers and a pair of goggles
