Homework is every day in the sense there are two vocabulary tests a week and every day you should be studying vocabulary.  85% of learning a language is knowing vocabulary. It is best to study before you go to sleep or first thing in the morning.  It will stick better in your mind at those points of day.  Have someone say the English and you say the Spanish, or you could use your columns is no one is around.
