Grade 7 Common Core Math
Welcome back!!! I’m looking forward to an exciting and productive school year. We will be using NYS Common Core Math Modules. We will also be preparing for the state assessment which will be in May. I look forward to working with you as we explore math together.
Homework is given at least 2-3 times a week. Homework is expected on the day that it is due!!! If you are absent the work will be expected the following day.
There will be several quizzes each month that will test not only the current material but past material as well. You will take a test at the end of every book/module. There will be 1-2 projects throughout the school year.
You will be given essential questions throughout each module. Journal entries are to be completed in complete sentences using correct capitalization and punctuation.
All students are expected to participate daily. Participation includes answering questions, completing notes and coming prepared.
