Welcome Friends!

We are off to an amazing start!  Keep up the hard work. Please read every night for at least 20 minutes with an adult, discuss the plot, characters and setting of each book! Have fun and enjoy spending quality time with your child.  Practice all the wonderful things we learn in class as practice makes perfect!  

Feel free to send in their favorite snack to share with their friends on fun Friday each week possible. The kids enjoy sharing something they bring from home! :)

Homework is expected to be completed Monday through Thursday.  Please take just 30-40 minutes per day to sit down, discuss and work with your child on the homework.  If if is not completed the students can not participate in fun Friday (recess) because the importance of review and applying what we learned during the school day needs to be completed.  

Here is our daily schedule for homework

Monday:Write all spelling words using either   rainbow writing or multi-color strategy!!  

Tuesday: Write sentences for the first half of your spelling list

Wednesday: Write sentences for the last half of your spelling list

Thursday: Put spelling words in ABC order

You will have a MATH skills worksheet every night AS WELL

You are asked to read 20+ minutes per/day 

A teacher once shared with me this famous quote " HONESTY IS THE BEST POLICY".

Please call me and write to me at anytime!  I love to hear from parents and friends! :) Anytime your child is ill, remember to send in an excuse.
