College Credit

  • Bryant & Stratton announces their fall Jump-Start Program.  Classes run from September 8 through December 17, and are tuition free.  Students must pay for textbooks.  Students can register online at http://bit.ly/5KpNqO.  For more information students can go to the Bryant Stratton website (www.bryantstratton.edu) and click on "High School Admissions", or come to Guidance and pick up a brochure.  Courses are being offered in Allied Health, Business, Criminal Justice, Interactive Media Design, and Technology, at various of their campuses in  Amherst, Orchard park and Buffalo.

     BUFFALO STATE COLLEGE

     

    Seniors who have applied to Buffalo State or who wish to apply to Buffalo State may be interested in the Summer Bridge Program.   Students attend Buffalo State during the summer,  studying Sociology and Advanced Reading and Study Strategies, for 6 college credits.  Information is available in Guidance.  Tuition cost, books and transportation will be provided.  Incoming freshmen must be full-time Buffalo State students, citizens and either first generation college students, economically disadvantaged, or requiring services due to a documented disability. If you wish to be considered, you must tell your counselor.

    CANISIUS COLLEGE

    Summer Honors Program-
    Credit bearing coursework (3 - 6 credit hours) for high school students. Grades 11 & 12, ages 16 - 18, 6 weeks. Contact Dr. Bruce Dierenfield 888-2683.

    ECC: Erie Community College has announced their summer program for students who will be Juniors or Seniors next fall.  Students can earn college credit and courses are offered for only $100.

    Ithaca College-Pre college Residential Program-

    Three week and one week college credit courses for students who have completed their sophomore or junior year of high school. Enroll in one course and earn one to four college credits. Includes courses in acting, musical theater, sports management, digital photography, psychology, business and others. There are a limited number of need based partial tuition scholarships available.     Maryland Institute College of Art Pre College Studio Residency Program- Offers a college level experience on the campus of one of the nation's top colleges of art and design.     Department of Geography Summer Courses:    Courses are Earth Systems Science 1 and 2, Univariate Statistics, and US Contemporary Problems.
