BEAM PROGRAMS
Students from 7th grade through High School: BEAM has again announced its programs for the year, and we strongly urge students with any interest in math, science, or engineering of any sort, to attend.
The program for Juniors and Seniors starts this Saturday, October 1. Sstudents will be building energy efficient wind turbines that will be part this generation’s step toward sustainability. This program will definitely help build your college resume.
The Saturday Academy for High School Students starts October 8, and will include the design, construction, and programming of robots. Special 3D building lets you design 3 robots that perform different functions (candy sorting, a robotic arm, and an Artbot that draws amazing pictures), as well as building your own designs.
Middle school students will enjoy the Saturday Science and Technology Academy, fostering interest in math, science and engineering through hands-on, real world applications.
Applications for all programs are available in guidance, so please pick them up and get them in soon. You may mail your application to 206 Fronczak Hall, University of Buffalo, 14260, or fax to 645-3951.
