• Overview

The Western New York community has come together in remarkable ways to make postsecondary education possible for students and families from across the income spectrum. We know that the promise of a Say Yes Buffalo Tuition Scholarship to qualified students, combined with the comprehensive and integrated Say Yes Buffalo support system being established in the Buffalo Public School District's grades K-12 will dramatically change the lives of Buffalo's next generation. We are committed to helping students reach their goals throughout their K-12 years, continuing through college, and beyond.

Say Yes Buffalo has recruited an unprecedented network of nearly 100 higher education institutions to participate in the Higher Education Compact. The Say Yes Buffalo Tuition Scholarship promises if a Say Yes eligible student enrolls at a Say Yes participating college and does not receive the full cost of tuition from state, federal, and/or institutional grants and scholarships, Say Yes Buffalo will provide a grant for the remaining tuition balance. The Say Yes Buffalo Tuition Scholarship is available to all students, regardless of family income, at SUNY and CUNY colleges. Most Higher Education Compact private colleges guarantee full tuition to students from families with incomes of less than $75,000. Students who attend a private college with family incomes over $75,000 may be eligible to receive a Say Yes Choice Grant.
