English Language Arts (ELA) holds a wide-range of readings including fiction (literature), non-fiction (informational text), poetry, plays (drama). The authors and perspectives of such texts are historic and informative to artistic, contemporary and diverse. In our class, there will be many opportunities for students to work towards proficiency or mastery of: close reading, situational writing and presenting. In addition, we will be working on our written language skills through a series of writing, vocabulary, grammar and editing lessons/activities. Hopefully, there will be something for everyone to enjoy and showcase their talents.
