    The Board of Education supports the development of a goal-oriented, comprehensive implementation of school and district-wide parent, family, and community engagement practices that support the academic achievement of all students and fulfillment of state and federal mandates.  This policy establishes a framework and responsibilities for the implementation of strategies, on multiple levels, to increase the level of effective, meaningful, and authentic parent, family, and community engagement throughout Buffalo Public Schools (BPS).

    Pursuant to ESSA Section 1116(a)(2)(D), the Buffalo Public School District will conduct an annual review of its Parent, Family, and Community Involvement Policy 3170 to evaluate its content and effectiveness. Please review the policy and attend one of three districtwide meetings. You may also provide feedback below thru January 31, 2020 that you believe will enhance the District's ability to increase parent engagement as well as address barriers preventing greater parent participation.
