  • On Thursday, April 26, 2018 School 61 held it's 2nd Annual Family Paint Night. 145 people attended this hugely successful event! It was amazing to see families working together to create butterfly-themed paintings with local artist, Julia Bottoms. Several staff members attended with their families as well.

Timeline 1
Timeline two
  • After a recent Professional Development with our partners, The National Urban Alliance (NUA), teachers and students at School 61 were inspired by mentor, Augusta Mann, to create an African American History Timeline. Every grade level selected a timeframe from history for this art integrated project. In their classrooms, teachers and students researched significant topics and events from their chosen period and created visually stunning and contextually meaningful presentation display boards.
