School 61- Summer Arts Integration PD

  • This summer, PK-4th grade staff at School 61 participated in a week-long Arts Integration PD from August 21-25.

    The specialized training provided educators with innovative and applicable techniques on creating an engaging learning environment through arts integration. Staff participated in a series of workshops conducted by Teaching Artists from Young Audiences of Western New York (YAWNY) that demonstrated infusing the Arts (Theatre, Creative Writing, Dance, Music and Visual Art) into the core curriculum: ELA, Science, Math and Social Studies.
