There are many free CAD softwares that are available for both teachers and studnets to use, ranging from basic to advanced levels. This is a list of available free programs that are either web based or available for download.

Tinkercad is a teacher & student favorite in BPS. This is a web based design software that is easy to use and gets great results. This is comes recommended for teachers and students who are unfamiliar CAD sofwares. Highlights included built in tutorials on how to use the program.

Think of it as a sort of "Swiss Army Knife" for 3D meshes. Optimal use for Meshmixer in BPS is to add supports to overhangs in models (so they do not fall over while printing.)
