How to Have Students Design in 3D
One of the most useful 3D design tools/softwares that is recommended by BPS Instructional technology is Tinkercad. Tinkercad is a website that allows students to design 3D models and export their models as .stl files which can then be uploaded to a slicer software for printing.
The Tinkercad website can be used on both a PC or iPad. (When 3D designing, using a mouse is preferable). Tinkercad has self-guided introductory lessons where one can learn the basics of 3D design softwares.
Logging into Tinkercad:
Tinkercad will be fully accessible through the Clever app which is on both BPS iPad and PC desktops.
