Burgard High School maintains a professional learning community that provides a challenging academic program, coupled with career training.
Burgard's goal is to provide students with academic rigor and relevance so that they may enjoy academic, employment and personal success.
Students earn a Regents Diploma while in their chosen Career and Technical Education Program and acquire transferable Lifelong Learning Skills no matter what they pursue after high school.Burgard underwent $38 million in renovations through the Joint Schools Reconstruction Project.

Programming Burgard High School offers three CTE programs:
- Advanced Manufacturing Program
- Automotive Repair Technology
- Welding & Fabrication
- CAD/CAM (Computer Aided Drafting/Computer Aided Manufacturing).
All three of our CTE Programs are New York State certified with NYS certified teachers (also ACE certified automotive instructors). Our CTE students have an opportunity to intern with local businesses in their senior yearElectives: Physics, Music, Art, Ceramics, Chorus, Welding Art, English 5, CFM A & B.
Admissions Admissions Process
Burgard has an Open Enrollment admissions policy.
Burgard reviews attendance, 7th and 8th grade scores, 8th grade assessments and teacher evaluations to get a holistic picture of a student and gauge whether they have the appropriate qualifications to be successful in one of our Career & Technical Programs.
Preferred Academic Requirements:- 7th and 8th grade scores: 75 or better in core academics
- Attendance: 85% or better
- Teacher Evaluation: 75 or better out of 100
After School Girls Sports: Basketball, Bowling, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, and Volleyball.
Boys Sports: Baseball, Basketball, Bowling, Cross Country, Football, Soccer, Tennis, and Track & Field.
Extracurricular Activities:
