No Cell Phone Use

Cell Phone Policy

  • Parents and Students:

     

    This is a friendly reminder that cell phone use is not permitted during the school day. When the rules are not followed, it can becomce a distraction in the classroom. Cell phones have shown to be a major concern. Students are on them during class, which is taking away from their learning. Students are to keep cell phones in their lockers, or if they do not feel comfortable with that their homeroom teacher will lock them up for them so they don’t get stolen. The 6th grade team has come up with a protocol when a student has been caught with a phone.

     

    1st time:

    Student will have their phone taken away until the end of the day and receive a warning.

     

    2nd time:

    Student will have their phone taken away until the end of the day and a phone call or dojo will be made to their parent/guardian.

     

    3rd time:

    Student will have their phone taken away, parent/guardian will be notified and asked to pick up the phone.
