    Brain Breaks with Mr. Kowalski Episode 2: Clean Up your Backyard Activity

    Click on the link to watch the video. This activitiy is similar to the one we played in the gym, but instead of picking up balls you will be picking up sticks and real garbage. You get 30 seconds to put as many as you can inside a trash can or bucket. At the end count the number of sticks and pieces of trash. If you have 10 pieces of trash and 10 sticks you do 20 jumping jacks. Play this game a total of 4 times to get 2 minutes of great activity. Make sure an adult is with you or knows where you are at all times.

    Brain Breaks with Mr. Kowalski Episode 3: Roll The Dice Workout

    In this video workout you will need a die (dice). If you do not have any dice you can google dice and have the computer roll for you. Everytime you roll a number you will do a different exercise. If you roll a one you do 10 jumping jacks, a two 10 arm circles, three hop on your right foot for 10 seconds, a four hop on your left foot for 10 seconds, five high knees for 10 seconds and six run in place for 10 seconds. All directions are in the video as well. Have fun, be safe and be well.

    In this video you will play a game of skee ball. You will need a ball, four sheets of papper labeled for points, four baskets, four buckets, four boxes or four things that a ball can go into. Also, something for a ramp. The skill focus will be rolling or underhand throw. When rolling remember to stand facing the target. Bring your rolling arm back (swing) before you roll. Step with the opposite foot. Release the ball in front of your feet. Follow through to your target. Have fun and remember to be safe and stay well.

    In this video you will play a game of Mouse Trap. You will need a ball, three baskets, three buckets, three boxes or three things that you can prop up, three balls and three things to prop up the baskets. You will also need three stuffed animals. The object of the game is to trap the "mouse" or stuffed animal in a cage. When rolling remember to stand facing the target. Bring your rolling arm back (swing) before you roll. Step with the opposite foot. Release the ball in front of your feet. Follow through to your target. Have fun and remember to be safe and stay well.

    Brain Breaks with Mr. Kowalski Episode 6: Bottle Flip Challenge PE Style

    In this activity you will need a water, gatorade or pop bottle. Fill it 1/3 full and secure the cap to the bottle. The game starts with you doing 3 jumping jacks. Once you do three jumping jacks you can flip the bottle 2 times. Continue this cycle for 1 minute. How many times can you get the bottle to stand upright? You can modifiy this by doing different exercises between bottle flips (push-ups, sit-ups or make up your own exercise.

    Brain Breaks with Mr. Kowalski Episode 7: Bottle Flip Tic Tac Toe

    In this activity you will need 2 water, gatorade or pop bottles with a cap. A tic tac toe board or sheet of paper and 2 pencils/pens to draw a tic tac toe board. Each player will start at the same time by doing three jumping jacks. Once they do three jumping jacks they can flip the bottle two times. If the bottle lands upright they can put their x or o on the board after each flip. The first player to complete a row of either X's or O's wins the game. Remember before the two flips you must do three jumping jacks each time. Some modifications you can make include: performing different exercises in place of the jumping jacks, adding a teammate to the game. No more than 2 people on a team. Remember to keep at least 6 feet apart from each other.

    Brain Breaks with Mr. Kowalski Episode 8: Trashketball

    In the game of Trashketball you will find a waste basket, laundry basket box and a crinkled up piece of paper. Players play on their knees. The offense try's to score points. The defense tries to prevent points from being scored. The defensive player cannot touch the offensive player. If contact is made one free throw is awarded to the offensive player. Possession switches after each point or turnover. Game is played to 5, first player to 5 wins the game.

    In this activity you will need a pillow or something to jump on and off. Start by doing five jumping jacks. After completing five jumping jacks, flip the pillow and jump on and off the pillow. Do five jumping jacks and repeat the process. How many can you in one minute?
