  • Hello Friends:

For those of you who were able to join last week's virtual lifesize meeting, I hope you found it both informative and fun.  I am scheduling another meeting for next week, Tuesday, May 5, from 11 am to 12 noon.  However, I can stay on longer if anyone needs any help and we can schedule to meet together at other times, either one on one or in a small group if you need help.

Last week's meeting was focused on just catching up and having fun.  However, this week I want to focus on walking all of you through Clever to show you all of the apps that are available to you and review some of the concepts from Module 5.

I hope more of you are able to join this week (room 222 students).  If the room becomes to big, we may have to split the 2 homerooms up, but we shall see.

    Have a great day!

  • Hello Friends:

On Monday, April 24, I will be attempting our first Lifesize Cloud meeting between 2 pm and 3 pm.  This is just to see all of you and find out what has been going on since we last saw eachother.  If you have any questions or concerns, bring them to the meeting on Monday during those times.  I will most likely be having a meeting every Monday at that time.  But we can negotiate other times when we see eachother on Monday.

Click on the attached link below to join the meeting.

Have a great day and a great weekend!

Just a reminder that Moby Max usage is a must do. For those students who are going on and practicing, keep up the good work!  :)

At a minimum you should be practicing through Moby Max 3x's a week.  For Marking Period 3 I am using your success on these activities as extra credit.  However, in marking period 4, this may be the only way I will have to grade you.

I see that a few of you have not even started.  If you need assistance with getting started, please let me know by messaging me through Schoology, emailing me at cmorris@buffaloschools.org, or call/text me at (716) 480-7252.

  • Good Morning Friends:

Check out the links section on my webpage where I have included a few math websites that have games and puzzles on them.  You can also access these sites by clicking on Clever, then click on the ALA American Library Association app.  There are other very interesting and fun sites to visit through this app as well.

I hope you enjoy the math games and take some time to explore all the sites that this app has to offer.

    Have a great day!

  • Good Morning:

I have attached the first 5 lessons for Module 6 here on my web page.  The first 3 were done using the word program but are still the same with the models and hints that well hopefully lead to success.  The rest will be attached in the same way that I did Module 5 because I will need to draw things on the pages that word does not allow me to do.

Please remember that the intention is to have you complete one lesson a day.  The lessons should take you about a 1/2 hour.  After that you should spend another half hour on Moby Max (this can be regular practice or fluency) and any assignments I give in your Finish Line books.  See my calendar for day by day expectations.

Please don't forget to come to school tomorrow and pick up your Module 6 books and iPads so that you can be successful for the reamainder of the time that we are working from home.

  • Hi Friends:

I need some feedback from you on how lessons are going.  Are you able to complete all of Module 5 by the end of the month or do you need more time?  I know 2 of you told me that you are finished.  You can email me at cmorris@buffaloschools.org or leave me a short message in Schoology letting me know how you're doing.

Module 6 books will be distributed when you come on Thursday to pick up your iPads.  I am also including the lessons here and in Schoology with the models and hints just like I did for Module 5.  However, they will be in a different format that you can hopefully write your answers right on the pages and submit them through Schoology.  Let me know how that goes.

  • Good Morning Friends:  I have just been checking Moby Max and am noticing that many of you have not been on since schools closed.  You can access Moby Max through Clever on any device including your phone.  Practicing daily, if you possibly can, just as important as doing the work in your Modules, so I strongly encourage you to spend a little time each day on this.  Remember there will be rewards for using programs like Moby Max, Lexia, and MyOn when we come back together!

  • Here you will find the rest of Module 5 (models and hints).  i hope you find this helpful.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask using my email (cmorris@buffaloschools.org) or Schoology.  When doing so though, I just ask that you be specific with the lesson and problem number so that I know what you are referring to.

  • Hi Students and Parents:  Can you do me a favor?  If you have looked at my web page, can you just leave a brief message to me either here or on Schoology letting me know that you saw it.  You can also let me know if it's helpful or ask any questions.

Thanks, and have a great weekend!
