• Here are the assignment for the week of May 26 - 29.  Because Monday is Memorial Day, there are no assignments in any of the subjects for that day.  If you have not completed previous weeks' Pearson Easy Bridge assignments, you should try to get them done before June 17 and work on them first.

As always if any of these assignments require a written response, it must show details from the text that are relative to the question being asked.  Use your text book (whether on line or your hard copy) to help you make these answers your best possible work.  And you can do all of them except the quiz and Lesson 4 Check in any order you want.

Tuesday - Pearson Easy Bridge "Effects of Glaciers"; preview Topic 9, Lesson 4 in your text by making sure you know the vocabulary, look at the pictures and diagrams with captions, and see if you can find the answers to the Guiding Questions.

Wednesday - Pearson Easy Bridge:  "Glacial Ice" and "Video - Glacial Wave Erosion.

Thursday - Pearson Easy Bridge "Coastline Management" and "Quiz:  Glacial and Wave Erosion"

    Friday - "E-text:  Lesson 4 Check"

  • Hi:  Someone just suggested this interactive site where you can see where plate bounderies are and where earthquakes and volcanoes are likely to occur.

    Check it out!

Just a very important reminder that all April Pearson Easy Bridge activities must be completed by the end of the month.  Online activities are the only way now have of assessing how you are doing.

If you are having difficulty accessing these activities and getting them done please let me know by messaging me through Schoology, emailing me at cmorris@buffaloschools.org, or call/text me at (716) 480-7252.

I have assigned all of the Topic 8 Lesson 1 Pearson Easy Bridge activities to you to complete between today and next Friday, April 24.  By next week you should all have received your iPads by picking them up at school on Thursday April 16 at the time designated on your letter.

If for some reason you did not get your iPad, you can do the work in your books instead (Topic 8; Lesson 1).  I also assigned the book on line if you prefer to read it that way.

If you have any questions, please email me at cmorris@buffaloschools.org or message me on Schoology.

Just as I said in math, I need to hear from you as to how you are coming along with the assignments that have been given so far.  Are you able to complete them by the end of the month, or do you need more time?  Also starting next week, most of the assignments that I give will be through Pearson Easy Bridge and Moby Max which now has science activities for you to complete.  All work can be submitted online.

    Good Morning Friends:

I have gone through all the submissions through Pearson Easy Bridge and scored anything that required me to read it.  Take some time this week to take a look at your scores.  Also I want to remind you to make sure that you save and submit all of your work.  A couple of you had nothing written for some of the questions.

Also, when responding to questions, you need to take your responses seriously.  Carefully read the question and think about what it is asking you.  Almost all questions that require a written response will require a minimum of 2 details.  Use your Step-Up-To-Writing strategies (Topic sentence, detail 1, detail 2, closing or conclusion).

I hope you find this helpful and I see some better responses on all future assignments.

    Miss Morris
